FAQ
It depends on the format and content, but as a rule please consider bookings in “Full-day” or “Half-day” units:
* Full day: 4–8 hours of interpreting (including 1-hour lunch break)
* Half day: up to 4 hours of interpreting
The start time is flexible. Assignments in the early morning or late at night, or work exceeding the above hours, will be treated as overtime and charged additionally.
If you expect work over a period (e.g. both interpreting and translation, multiple related engagements), we can arrange a tailored engagement separately.
It varies depending on the content and format. Please contact us via “Enquiry & Quote” for details.
Yes. I can attend on-site anywhere in Hokkaido (travel expenses charged at cost). Remote interpreting is also available if suitable equipment/platforms are in place on the client side.
I’m afraid correspondence/liaison work and minute-taking are not included in interpreting services. However, translation of administrative documents arising during the assignment, and on-site assistance (e.g. local shopping/errands, reception at venues) may be provided—please enquire.
Interpreting requires preparation from the time of booking through to delivery. That said, remote meetings often run only 1–2 hours. Taking this into account, I offer remote interpreting at ¥20,000 per hour (excl. tax). Rates can be adjusted after discussing the conditions—please feel free to enquire.
I am sorry, but I do not accept this type of assignment.
I am sorry, but as a rule I do not accept bookings made on the day or the day before. High-quality interpreting requires adequate preparation and subject-matter understanding. However, for repeat assignments on similar subject matter, I may be able to accommodate—please enquire.
Yes. I’m happy to sign your NDA, or I can provide a standard mutual NDA on request. For initial enquiries, a high-level brief is usually enough; we can add an NDA before sharing sensitive materials.
Your information is treated in confidence and used only to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote. I do not share details with third parties unless required by law. If you prefer, you can send a summary first and share documents after an NDA is in place.
